I (Scott) advice anyone whom speaks shame upon a business, especially one dealing with exotic fish, to first acknowledge the science within the structure which retains the water. The aquarium itself contains many indicators toward a species demise. I shall list the most common causes of death; poor water chemistry/parameters, incorrect habitat, diet, temperature/lighting, parasitic infections (Internal/external), proper portions of oxygen saturation, current/circulation, aquarium size, and if that size can manage the extra bio load. These all can be relevant with one another. I do not mean to sound rude, but if the Tetra was our fault, why did the fish thrive beforehand, all of our fish are within well established aquariums. When selecting a fish, always verify a healthy specimen, and be sure it does not have any noticeable signs of stress or strange variants within that specific species. Excepting a fish which has been caught, is excepting the quality of your purchase. I would be glad to discuss the possibilities of death, and I did not personally partake in this testing, but I assure you…we have very intelligent employees among our fish department. Also, if anyone views death in one of our aquariums, It’s because we have large shipments, and specific aquariums hold mass numbers of fish, which will lead to large ammonia spikes (Such as our feeder fish enclosure). We sell fish, therefore those spikes do not last long, and in the process we shall lose a small amount, this shall occur at any local fish shop, unless a shop contains enormous aquariums.
