Omg I’ve been going to Maricel for over 15 years seasonal in the winter. Her Salon, Staff and family are top notch. She’s done amazing color on my hair as well kept me looking younger. I absolutely love her and trust her.

Worst customer service ever!!!!
I had to explain to 4 employee that I came to do my eyebrow in an angle tinted dark color. Nobody speak English and is overcharge!
I am very unhappy and disappointed with this salon!

Very bad experience!
This was my second time when I did the mistake going to Maricel. First time, I was late for work because my hairdresser was on the phone for a half hour, in the middle of cutting my hair .This second time, I came in just to do a simple manicure ,witch I was told at the entrance that is going to be $25 and, to trim my hair($30). I asked for my hair to be blow dried just a little so I wont go outside with wet hair.
To cut the dead ends for my short hair took 3 hairdressers...and the time of their switching between each other was about 15 min, while in the saloon was only me, one more costumer (left in the middle of his haircut) and about 7 employees...doing nothing but watching us gazing in the mirrors ! At one point, one of them started curling my hair and I said that I don t want that. She answered that "its ok, its gonna make it have more volume". I thought that may be 30$ was too much just to trim(2min) and wash my hair and they felt bad...I was told one price for the haircut at the entrance and I wasn't warned about extra charges...So , after 2 hours of being in the saloon and most of the time being spent waiting like a stupid, I paid 90 $...when, by the entrance the total was about 55$...
For me it was a horrible experience, witch left me with a bitter taste and a bad mood all day.
I will never ever go back to them again!

Well, I just sent the following message to Maricel's website. You decide for yourself if you want to go to a hair salon that doesn't listen to their customer’s service request.

Maricel,

The last visit was a validation that I will never be returning back to your salon. I am sad to say but I am not happy with my recent hair cut.

I truly believe you are gifted when it comes to hairstyles, hair and among all other skin products, but what I have noticed is that you lack the understanding of what the customer really wants with their hair.

I hate short layers and I dislike my hair near my eyes. In many occasions I expressed the desired of wanting to let my hair grow in one length and then cutting only with long layers not short layers, but you have never truly listen to what I want.

I haven’t wanting to come back to your salon on several occasions because of this same issue of you not helping or working with me to let my hair grow in one length. This last haircut is going to require so much ironing/blow drying in order to make it look ok.

The layers are so short that I hate my last hair cut. I was in tears tonight after I washed my hair. Because my hair is so curly it looks awful.

I wish you the best of luck and I am very sorry to say goodbye forever.

12 minute hair cut with chunks missing. It is absolutely awful. Will never return. Pricing is mysterious. Must ask owner and still cost more than what I thought it was going to be. I really want to cry and must get hair recut and loose more hair and length. So horrible!

About to file complaint to FLORIDA Dept. of Business & Professional Regulation .

looks very beautiful interior, friendly staff, but not a professional, after highlighting, I said goodbye to half of your hair and the color is not the desired sovpodayut. very expensive. in the price list written $ 100 and by the end only for highlighting, without cutting and without laying I paid more than $ 250. your friends, I do not advise you to go there.

Horrible. Don't let the professional look of the salon fool you. All I wanted was a trim for $30 which they offered. If you want a blowdry it's $70. While I was getting my hair cut, I had other employees pushing expensive products to sell to me. I told them "no thank you". The owner cut my hair and did not listen to what I wanted done, just chopped away. I paid my bill and left. Once my hair dried, it looked awful. I ended up cutting parts of it myself just to look decent going to work the next day. i went back after work the next day to politely ask for my money back and was told I was a liar. Also, it's very odd that they have about 12 employees in there at any time and no customers.

I would not recommend this salon. Very pricey. I went in wanting a quick trim and left with almost 2 inches gone. Although the salon is very nice, i do not think my quick “trim” was worth what they charged me. My total was $50. I will not go back to this salon again.
