Very greedy and racist family run Hotel . I was forced to stay there for more than two months because of unexpected auto trouble during my stay . The family ran both the Magnuson and the Sleep inn on the same property and was very short handed , I was forced to stay there for more than two months due to unexpected auto trouble . I was asked to keep my own room clean including vacuuming and changing my own bed clothes . I personally saw them charge people deferent rates depending if they were black or white . They would not let my girl friend park her car on the lot because of a minor oil leak even though I promised to keep cover under the car to protect their lot . I was out of work at the time and the first time I had trouble with my rent they demanded I leave and would not cut me any breaks even though I had paid more than $3000 in rent during my stay and threatened to call the police on me as I was trying to come up with money to stay that day . I begged them to let me due work around the hotel to cover my rent as they didn't have any hotel maintenance . They agreed to let me work 5 Hrs. a day to cover my rent as the grass and hedges have not been maintained in more than a month . The first day I worked I cut the grass at both properties front and back even up at the Highway at Wade Green Rd. I edged all the curbs around the planting and sidewalks to the building . I trimmed and reshaped the under growth of the bushes as they were over growing the front deck and blocking it's entrance and I took out all the trash in both buildings . I was worked for 9 Hrs. the first day with no breaks . Then at 11:00 PM that night I was called to take out garbage at the entrance of the other business . I didn't complain as I was stressed in just grateful to have a place to stay which I was more than expressive to them . I had blisters on my feet in wore out as it was the end of July and extremely hot outside . The next morning I expressed that I could not work like that again as he told me I would only have to work 5 Hrs. to cover my rent . He told me that it took me to long to do the work and got made at me and told me to leave the room immediately . I had giving them a $50 deposit to work on my vehicle that they refused to give back even though I had finished my obligation to it . I had to beg again as I was out of money even to buy food . I was told to take the garbage to both building out again and they would give it back to me which I agreed to , when I finished I asked it I could please take a shower as I was extremely sweaty and dirty from the garbage she refused I told me to leave the property immediately , when I expressed my disapproval she called the police in effort to have me arrested .
