Ultrasound
Ultrasounds display images in thin, flat sections. These images provide a clear picture of soft tissues and are the preferred method of imaging for the diagnosis and monitoring of pregnancy. Most ultrasound examinations are completed within 30 minutes to one hour. There is no radiation used in ultrasound guided procedures.

Our goal is to provide patients and referring clinicians with superior medical imaging and a quick turnaround on reports. Working toward this end, we’ve expanded over the years and are proud to offer a number of unique services. In addition to our staff of leading radiologists and support technologists, we are the only facility within a 35-mile radius to offer Open MRI services. We are also the first comprehensive imaging center to offer all services at an out-patient facility.
Radiology
Longview Radiologists was founded in 1948 by Dr. Henry D. Fuesner who was later joined by Dr. John N. Burkey. Incorporated in 1970, the only radiology services we offered at the time were diagnostic x-ray and fluoroscopy. The practice of medical imaging has grown since then. And we’ve grown with it.
X-Rays
Mammography
Our renowned radiologists are fellowship trained and have, on average, 13 years of education and specialized instruction in the fields of radiology and their chosen specialties. Additionally, several of our physicians hold Certificates of Added Qualifications in their respective areas. We have a neuroradiologist, an interventional radiologist, a body imager, a musculoskeletal radiologist, and one mammography specialist. We are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in CT, Open MRI and 1.5 High Field MRI.
Computed Tomography
Computed tomography (CT), also known as a CAT scan, uses x-rays and computer technology to produce a series of two-dimensional images of an internal body structure, or generate a three-dimensional image of a particular part of the body. This three-dimensional image is produced by the advanced diagnostic technique available through a High-Speed Helical CT and achieved by a device that winds an x-ray around the body in a spiral path. A CT scan is pain-free and used in a variety of medical situations, including the detection of cancer, heart disease and aneurysms, providing a higher level of clarity and detail than can be achieved through an x-ray exam alone.
Interventional Radiology
Dr. Konez specializes in interventional radiology with 12 years of education and medical training. Originally from Bursa, Turkey, he moved to the United States in 1995 and currently lives in Vancouver, Wash. Dr. Konez is married, with three boys, and enjoys traveling, snow skiing and spending time with his family at their cottage on the southern shore of Lake Erie in Lakeside, Ohio.

Sciatica
An epidural steroid injection (ESI) is a minimally-invasive procedure that can help relieve the pain caused by inflamed spinal nerves, often resulting from spinal stenosis, spondylolysis, a herniated disc, a degenerative disc, or sciatica. The effects of ESI injections may result in temporary pain relief for several days, months or years. The goal is to reduce pain to allow you to resume normal activities and a physical therapy program.

Ultrasound imaging, also known as medical sonography, uses high-frequency sound waves and computer technology to visualize internal organs. It is a diagnostic imaging technique that enables a radiologist to analyze the size, shape and structure of an organ and any pathologic lesions. Often used in abdominal, thyroid, obstetrical and breast imaging care, ultrasound exams do not use ionizing radiation.
