Worst Dental Office I have ever had the misfortune of going to!
I went for a checkup, told I needed a root canal and a crown.
In one of the subsequent visits to the office for preps, I had to wait 3 - 4 hours before seeing a dentist even though I had a scheduled appointment.
Got a root canal and a crown and was in pain after the procedure for several weeks. Went back to the dentist to complain about the pain and was to I had to get used to it and it would eventually go away.
6 months or so later, I had to have the tooth removed because the crown was not placed properly and the tooth was taking in fluids. The dentist who did the procedure was no longer working there.

Went back sometime to complain and try to get compensation for the shoddy work and incompetence but was threatened by another Dentist / Manager that they would call the police if I didn't leave.
I complained to the Dental Board and was told that I can only get a free dental benefit from the office to fix the problem they caused even though they don't do implants. IF YOU LOVE HAVING TEETH, STAY AWAY!

My experience at this office a couple of weeks ago was horrible! The dental hygienist was the rudest person I have ever met. The year before I had an excellent report and needed a regular cleaning only. This dental hygienist came back and begin to tell me about all the problems with my teeth that she found. She stated I would require the much more expensive deep cleaning and not a regular cleaning. When I questioned her about her treatment plan she got really rude. So she sends the financial receptionist in to tell me about the fees I would be paying. It was ridiculously high even with my insurance . So I questioned her. She told me would check again and be right back. When she came back she informed me she accidentally quoted me the wrong price. Needless to say, I declined the recommended deep cleaning and had a regular cleaning only. I went to another dentist office on Friday and just as I thought, there are no problems with my teeth and I did not require a deep cleaning.

Rude and unprofessional hygenists

The dental hygenists at this office are rude and unprofessional if you do not take the service they want to give you. The service they want you to have is not covered by insurance and they belittle and threaten if you tell them you only want what is covered by insurance. I have never been treated so rudely in a medical office anywhere before! Totally amazed that they are allowed to talk this way to clients! Would not recommend this office to anyone!

Wait time is also incredible!

omg, the worst service ever!

My husband went here, had an appointment waited 3 hrs, only to be turned away and told to come back the next day. Came back, checked his teeth, they were rough and the dr didnt seem to care much cuz he didnt really answer our questions, and charged us an arm and a leg for the visit and "cleaning", which they didnt do! If you decide to go, check what they charge you for, especially if you have insurance, they will rip you off!!!

Disappointed

If you like to wait for HOURS and be treated rudely, this is the place for you. I just waited for two and a half hours even though I had an appointment. I was told it was because I hadn't been there in a while, so that's why the appointment took longer. Waiting half an hour seems reasonable, but two an a half hours, with no warning that the appointments run that long, is INSANE. Most dental offices get you done with your appointment within an hour. I am forced to go there as they are the only dentist 'in network' near me.

After waiting for one and a half hours, I went to the front desk to ask how much longer it would be, and every person in the office acted like I was totally invisible. One woman said she'd find out what was taking so long and get back to me, but never did. Finally, Teresa said they're running behind, and that they were doing the best they could. When I finally got in to see the hygenist, I commented that the wait time for this office is just too long. She said she's worked there for three years and it's always been that way, but that if it bothers me I SHOULD FIND ANOTHER DENTIST. Well, I wish I could but my insurance WON'T let me!

Assembly Line

I went here for the first time about 1 month ago. I was there by my appointment time, but I didn't even get back to take my x-rays for about 45 minutes after my appointment time. Then they shuttled me back into the dreaded waiting room again, where I sat for about 30 more minutes waiting on the dentist. I saw the dentist for maybe 2 minutes total before I was then shuttled BACK into the waiting room, where I was told "Let me see if the dental hygentist is still here to do your cleaning". Luckily she was or else I would have been livid after waiting that long for my cleaning where I was there on time! I was going to have a cavity filled while I was there, but since it was nearly 6:00 pm once my cleaning was done (and my appointment was at 3:30 pm) I was hungry and left. I called to get an orthodontic consultation appointment, and found out that they only have 1 orthodontist company wide and so she is only in this location 3 days a month, and of course all the appointments for the entire month of May were already taken. RUN from this horrible place! When I renew my insurance I will be sure to select a different dentist, the only reason I picked Southern Dental was for the Saturday hours (but they are probably all booked every weekend anyway). The only good thing I have to say is that the dental hygenist was very nice and informative, other than that, this place SUCKS!

Be prepared to wait!

My husband and I were in at our appointed time for our cleaning which was suppose to be done one after the other. Neither of us were treated even after 1.5 hours. But our X-rays were taken. We got so fed up waiting we left. We found another dentist later but since our X-rays were already taken our insurance would not cover this dentist from taking it too. Southern dentist charge around $50 per patient for their paperwork.

Delays do happen occasionally but they were not at all apologetic and felt that this is how it always is. I have been to other dentists, this waiting period is far from the norm.
