Carolina Taxi

Stopped using them after tonight. You will get quoted about 15 minutes and they'll never show up. This is a common problem. They have mixed up my address on numerous occasions. Normal wait time during any time of day is roughly 1-2 hours, 45 minutes if they are down the street from you. Dispatch is rude to customers and to drivers. When you get picked up dispatch is always yelling at the drivers over their radio. I have had numerous instances where the driver was on their cellphone the whole trip talking to their spouse while driving. In one instance was almost wrecked off the road because the driver was in a shouting match with their girlfriend and hitting their steering wheel and door in fits of rage. When called to complain, no compensation was given, nothing was done and was treated poorly. When calling to cancel a taxi that took more than an hour with still no show was greeted with mumbling and a phone slammed in my ear. They have zero respect for their drivers and even worse service for their customers who keep them afloat. Everytime I have used them to get home from work the price has changed ranging from $7 to $12 per trip. I took them out of my contacts after tonight. I would strongly recommend 24 hour taxi or TJ's taxi services. They are respectful to customers, honest about their arrival times, and their prices do not fluxuate dramatically. 24 will even text you upon request when they become available or call you if they think they might have mixed up an address. TJ's will let you know if they are backed up for the night. Carolina will let you sit there for hours on end and lie to you about sending a car and you wern't there even if you were outside your door the whole time waiting and watching every car that passed by...but they won't even pass that lie until you call them to ask what the hold up is. 1 star, if you could give negative here I would...this company shouldn't be in business, don't bother with them you won't get picked up or you'll be overcharged compared to the other companies in the area.
