I DID TELL MY BEST FRIENDS AND...

I DID TELL MY BEST FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS, AND THIS IS WHAT I TOLD THEM:

Top Notch, Excellence--Bar None, The Best!

by 03supercrew at Citysearch

I have a Sheltie that had benign tumors growing in his eyelids, causing him discomfort. I inqired as to what would be required to remedy the situation and I was given a price, and they stuck to that price. Additionally, Dennis Dugger, the specialist for eye surgery there, came out front and explained the entire procedure and what would be expected of me after the surgery. The explanation was given in terms that a layman could understand--he was NOT condescending and did not try talking 'over your head' in medical terminology. He was thorough in the explanation, including the suturing methods and suture materials used, as well as the care of the eyes and sutures during the healing process.

Also, Dennis made it clear that if there were ANY PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER, if there was ANYTHING that I didn't feel was quite right, BRING HIM IN IMMEDIATELY at NO EXTRA CHARGE and he would take care of it, 24 hrs a day.

And there was NO EXTRA CHARGE for removing the sutures.

These folks also saved his life when he ingested several bars of mouse poison.

I am eternally grateful to everyone at this establishment and give them my highest, ULTIMATE RECOMMENDATION! They are the best and I will continue to entrust the life of my Sheltie to them forever!

Dennis is not only an EXCELLENT SURGEON and very meticulous, he's also an incredible person. With that in mind, I felt that it is appropriate to post his profile in my review. It is listed directly below:

Dennis Dugger graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. He owned a large AAHA certified multi-specialty practice in Oklahoma City for 20 years before moving to the Flathead Valley in 2002. Dr. Dugger has received advanced training in ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology. He is a member of the Phi Zeta Society with is an honor society for academic achievements in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Dugger has received citations from the Oklahoma State legislature for his care of sick and injured wildlife, and from the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association for his care of working dogs associated with the bombing of the Alfred R. Murrah Federal building in Oklahoma City. He is a charter member of the AAHA Excell Club which recognizes veterinarians who have achieved excellence in continuing education and have taken a voluntary comprehensive examination to document advanced knowledge of small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Dugger lives outside Kalispell with his wife, Jo Ann. He has two grown children and two dogs. Dr. Dugger enjoys fishing, hiking, photography, drawing and playing the guitar when he is not working.

Procedures done without authorization!

I took our dog in to be neutered; I had discussed the price of the procedure, even signed a form stating what was going to be done and how much. When I picked my animal up they had done another procedure without my consent and charged me for it. I talked to the multiple people at the office and finally talked to one of the Vets. It was made clear to me that this was not a high ticket item so they didn't feel that it was a big deal to call me. The sad part is I would have gone along with the procedure; all I was looking for was a heads up and common courtesy. I did ask for my money back for the procedure, they said they would send out a refund and I still have not seen it two months later.
