Conser Quarry, Co.

I have used Conser Quarry since 1996 for all my gravel and rock needs on our little farm. They have the cheapest prices of anyone in the Eugene/Springfield area, and believe me I've checked!! And you aren't getting a cut rate, no service, no help for that cheaper price. You get the full deal and all the help you need. They are friendly and helpful and never make you feel that you are imposing on them because you only need 1 load and aren't a contractor! Some of the other gravel/rock companies are not so nice and so friendly!They always accommodate my schedule and needs. I've called them in the morning and gotten the load here in 2 hours when I have an emergency! They always help by putting the load where ever I need it, exactly where I need it!They will pour it so that it spreads out and makes a nice road bed, or how ever I need it. Going back and forth, turning in small increments that take time out of their day to make the load do what I need it for! They don't ever just dump it in a pile and leave. Leaving you to shovel and wheelbarrow and move it around. Saving you time and aggravation. Here's a couple of examples:Awhile back, in the middle of a terrible pouring wet winter our well decided to go kaput! To fix it we needed to get a BIG drilling rig in to rebore the hole and put new casing in the first 20 feet that had collapsed, and clear the hole all the way down to the aquifer 200 feet down. That's why they needed the BIG rig. Well, there is no way that rig was going to get within 100 feet of the well because we live on flat land that is a huge swampy deep mud mess during the winter. They would have sunk down to their doors if they'd tried to drive in there.So we needed to get a road laid. I knew that a load of 3/4 minus laid a few inches thick. was NOT going to be enough. so working with Conser over the phone, we worked out how much of the 3" crushed rock we'd need to make sure that drilling rig could make it in there. They were there the next day with 2 huge dump trucks and by backing and dumping it slowly as they went, they not only built the road as they went, they saved us! They couldn't have drove onto the mud, so they backed in, and made the road for themselves to back onto to make more road, etc.... all the way down to the well site!We got the well re drilled and had water again that wasn't full of mud and gravel. You never know how wonderful and precious some of life's necessities, that we take for granted, are until you go without water to shower or cook or drink for weeks. It wasn't a cheap thing to get that drilling rig in and fix the tanks and stuff we had afterwards, so we had to save up to do it over a couple months. When we were ready to do the well, Conser Quarry was there for us.They've helped us with other stuff too, but just today, they saved me again.We needed to move a family member out here and her large trailer, and had to get it done TODAY! Yeah, family is so much fun sometimes, LOL.The only place to put that trailer was back on that same road bed they built for the well. We'd never had it covered in 3/4 minus crushed gravel. So I called Conser this morning, and in less then 2 hours they had a truck here that put 2" of the 3/4 on top of that big rock. Laying it so even and nice. Then he drove back and forth on it to pack it down to make it easier for the truck to back her trailer down that new road, but also to make it easier to walk on right away!I truly do not know of another company that does a better job, and does it for less then any other company in town.
