The Er

The ER is the new bar that has replaced the infamous "Pla-mor" bar on the corner of Joplin and 5th in Joplin, MO. Due to the damage done in the past by previous bars in this location, The ER has its work cutout for it. This bar has great potential and I foresee it lasting a long time and quite possibly becoming a local icon. I rate it a three star in a sense of neutrality. Everyone and everything has room to improve and I cannot proper asses their abilities until they are balls to the wall busy (no puns intended). This can only be done though through the support of local business. Base on the reviews from the same previous bars there is a general consensus for the need of a GREAT gay bar in this area. This I believe, being a native to Joplin an a gay man myself, is one of the most true things the community has agreed upon as an uncohesive entity. We as a community, gay, straight, bi, lesbian, etc., need to show support. It's fun to go to bigger cities but where can you go when you are broke but still want to go out on a weekend? Great bars are not made over night but are born of the patronage by the people who live around them. Check out the ER and bring a friend. Meet and mingle and as always arrange a DD and have a fun time.
