Horton's Pizza Plus

Yes, Horton's does have tasty pizza. In my opinion it is better than Pizza Hut. Wit that said I am sorry to say I will no longer be giving them my business. I normally would order from them at least twice a month (3 Large). My last order was a 1 supreme, 1 pepperoni and a Beef with onion. After returning home with my pizza I noticed they had not put the pepperoni on my pizza. I called and stated I did not want to return to the store I was just informing them of the mistake that was made. The employee on the phone said she had made the pizza and knew she had put pepperoni on it. I did tell her she probably had gave that pizza to another customer. She gave the phone to a male employee. He proceeded to tell me he was standing next to her wile she had made the pizza and I was wrong and the pepperoni was under the cheese. So, I picked up the cheese on my pizza and took a look, No pepperoni. I told him this and he replied he was not going to argue with me. I was mot looking to argue, I just wanted to let them know they had made a mistake. I did decide to take the pizza back to the store since the were so insistent that I did not know what pepperoni pizza looks like. I did not have them remake it and I did not have them refund the cost of the pepperoni. I simply took my CHEESE pizza home. They did not even apologize. I will give my business to Casey's from now on. What ever happened to customer service?

The first time my husband came home excitedly telling the family about Horton's Pizza in Joplin we were willing to try it with an open mind. My daughter (25) ordered 2 Med. Sausage Pizzas and 1 Large Canadian Bacon with Pineapple. We actually don't live inside of Joplin we live a small commute from Joplin, Spring City. When she picked up our order she checked it while in store. There was no pineapple on the pizza. She had them remake it paying for the extra topping they forgot to add. The pizza was not a thin crust nor was it a thick crust. It was done quite well in the middle of the two. Just enough chew to the crust to have body but not so much you get tired and think it will never end. Toppings were not plentiful but to be fair there were enough to make a good balanced pizza, not one that was "piled on" This was wonderful because too much of the toppings would allow the sauce to set in the top of the dough, making for a soggy pizza that tasted under cooked once you bit into it.

Our next experience with this establishment was not as smooth. Our son (23) ordered the same thing with the same results. The order was wrong on the one pizza again. This time when he called to report it he was told " I personally took that order and you never asked for pineapple on your can. bacon. My son asked for the manager and she agreed to remake the pizza. I told him to take the wrong one back immediately, I did not want them thinking we were eating it and expecting them to also replace it. Since I am diabetic and had to eat right then, I took a pizza out of the freezer and made my own. I asked him to ask for his money back since he was having to make a second trip in to town. She refused so I called the owner the following Wed. I could not believe the treatment I got at his hands. He yelled at me, told me I was a liar as well as my son being a liar. When I tried to tell him I had to eat right then because of my diabetic condition he interrupted me yet again talking over me saying I shouldn't tell him anything about being diabetic because he was and his dad was as well, I was just looking for something free. Since he had the pizza I paid for I disagreed. I would wait for him to end his yelling spree and then try to explain further, just to have him talk over me again. The 4th or 5th time I finally lost patience and told him he needed to shut up and listen to his customer. He promptly hung up on me. Please think twice before going there and definitely check your order before you leave. Otherwise you may be a liar if they get it wrong.
