Another Horrible experience

My granddaughter lives in Pocahontas and needed emergency transport. The ambulance service refused to provide transport to Jonesboro and insisted they deliver her to Little Rock. What a significant indicator of the poor quality health care at Jonesboro. We can pray for changes in a facility where so many could benefit from high quality health care!

This had to be one of the worst hospitals I've ever been to. I took my 9 month old in for an extremely high fever. Waited 3 hours in the waiting room with 2 other people. Spent another 2 hours in a room and was told there was only one doctor on staff, which is normal for this place. They told me it would probably be another 2 hours before another doctor would be in and they didn't think we would be seen any sooner. That would make it a minimal 7 hour wait just to see a doctor, which I'm sure would be a 5 minute visit. I was told the reason it is taking do long is because they keep getting ambulances coming in with high needs. I was in the waiting room with 2 other patience and there was not one ambulance come through. If you have the need to go to the emergency room, you better pack an overnight sack. I'm actually listening to another patient complaining they have been here 12 hours now as I'm typing this. You might want to think about St Bernard, which gives excellent care our even driving an extra 20 minutes to paragould. Absolutely ridiculous to only staff 1 ER doctor in a band new hospital this size.
