Took $60 from my granddaughters for application fee. Said they would know in 2-3 days. Many calls and emails were left. Office staff extremely rude and unprofessional.Finally husband goes by to check 5 weeks later and was told that they were denied and that someone else is signing lease tomorrow. They said they should have gotten notice in mail. They received nothing by mail. They halted their rental search for 5 weeks waiting on a professional response which was supposed to take 3-4 days. They of course kept the $60. We still do not know the real reason they were denied. One granddaughter has 2 small children and a Hispanic surname. I feel certain that several types of discrimination took place which is unlawful in TN. Beware of this company and it's illegal practices and disrespect toward it's customers.

They have found deals for me on the East Coast and have managed my investments since around 2007. No complaints, making money

I'm renting an older home that has had some issues. But they're great about fixing or replacing any problems. We love it!

Rented 2 different properties from the company for a little over four years and have no complaints. They were responsive to maintenance requests. I see negative reviews, but I always paid rent on time, no drama, and never had an issue.

I attempted to lease a property managed by TC Lewis. The ad for the property came from their website. The ad is still up at the time of this review.



Wednesday morning, I sent an email and called, but got voicemail. The email went unanswered. Over the next couple days, I called repeatedly, once left a VM, and sent two additional emails, this time using forms on their website rather than emailing directly. Finally on Monday, I drove to their office and spoke to them. The property had rented that morning.



When I let them know that I had been trying to reach them for nearly a week, they changed their mind and said it was rented last week but the lease wasn't signed until that morning (I have cash and could have signed at any time).



So, it seems that either TC Lewis had it rented before I contacted them and couldn't be bothered to tell me to stop wasting my time, or didn't respond to my repeated correspondence for some reason, causing me to miss out on the property.

Do NOT rent from these people!! They refuse to fix anything!!! I have had 4 ceiling leaks, a window that needs to be replaced and they ignore it, I finally had to cover with plastic!! Also a toilet that has to have the water turned on to use and off to keep it from running non stop!! and a oven eye that has been shorted out for 6 months that they tried to get ME to replace and when I made the maintenance man do it instead he got electrocuted!! That could have been me!!! Also they are completely trying to ignore I have a pet deposit they owe me still!!!!!!

This company is a scam. They never give you back your deposit. They lie to you and they are thiefs. They all should be in jail with thiefs. Stay away from them and don't believe anything they say. I hope they run out of business or they close their place. I'll not be surprised they will be in jail anytime soon

RUN!!! Stole $3600 from my wife and I in a shady real estate deal - BEWARE - do your research, ask around, the WORST business in east TN and NOT JUST REAL EATATE!

T.C. Lewis is a crook and a liar! Took 2 months to get deposit back and then only got half! They wanted to call the police on me beause I called to see when my microwave would be fixed.

This company should be shut down!!



Please save your time and money and rent from someone else!

Horrible company, DON'T rent. Tries to keep your security deposit after you move out. Have to threaten the use of legal matters or file complaints on every website you can find before they finally agree to give your money back. They don't spray for bugs, maintenance is horrible to get stuff fixed, office is extremely rude and owner is classless
