Molly Maguires Pub & Steakhouse

Hello People. Feel sorry for people that go to have a good time only to be insulted by the establishment they are patronizing. The Fairy got it wrong, I did happen to be there the same day, with my bud's enjoying some suds, is a non smoking deck, strange but is what it is, this woman did goto catch a smoke & public sidewalk she was on. Since I was on the other side of bar but on the rail I witnessed this Irish owner get nasty with this woman. Was tempted to step in and shoo this coward away but saw this woman able to stand up for herself. Hooray 4 her, BOO 4 the bar owner. ps- drink was good, food was par'

In response to Powerhouse 3, on her day at The Molly Maguire’s Pub in Jim Thorpe, Pa. I was out with friend’s enjoying the great weather and the new Deck at Molly’s. We weren’t there long before this women became very boisterous . I felt sorry for the Bartender and the owner who was asking her to stop going down the exit to the kitchen and smoking. The owner asked her nice at first and then she started to insult him and the town we live in and love. The police were called after numerous tries to calm this drunk woman down.

Always love to visit the town & the train. Walking around the different shops are nice, merchants are always friendly. Went to get a bite to eat and heard Molly Maquires moved near the train station & 4th day of their 'deck' being open. "O.M.G." WHAT THE H_ _ L was I thinking. The drinks were okay, the food was ok if you like under cooked raw like blood, but the owner of the place really needs a reality check. Ignorant Irish Bas_ard!! Made us feel like we were in some run down filthy bar. Guess Da' Bum didn't like the way I was talking, he even called the local Po-lice.

Tis a shame, was considering Jim Thorpe as a spot for my family re-union, small family of 145, will go on up to Bear creek, people seem more friendly... ltr.

The wait staff was not attentive and at times down-right rude. When there was a problem with the bill, no one in our group was yelling, yet a waitress was yelling at us. She should have had more patience and followed social convention of not yelling at your customers. Food and service are inevitably linked at a restaurant, and frankly, we were not impressed by either. We ordered the famous 24-ounce steak and it was not worth the special trip we made to taste the famous entree. The smoked turkey salad was alright, but it was not worth putting up with the staff. The people of the town were pretty rude too.
