Brush Creek Youth Ranch

Awesome place and lower in cost than most programs/schools designed for troubled teens. They do a great job, but it is probably not a good fit for kids with mental or serious psychological issues. When you see a bad review it is often because the parents covered up the real issues with the boy in hopes of finding and placing him in a lower cost program. We found that this program (Brush Creek Academy) is great for boys who have gotten off track in life, have had negative peer influences or are failing in school; they can be helped tremendously here, and without you having to clear out your bank account.

After searching for a safe place for our son, we settled on Brush Creek. It was definitely the worst decision possible. The Blankenships and the staff are not qualified to care for troubled teens. My son came out of there unsure of his belief in God and unsure of himself. Go elsewhere!!

Brush Creek Youth Ranch stepped in before we reached the crisis point with our son. We had seen some warning signs in his behavior. When he began to spiral out of control, we knew we had to find help. Though sending our son away was emotionally difficult, Brush Creek Youth Ranch made the process as smooth as possible. Thanks to their timely help, we got our son away from some dangerous friendships before it was too late. He has already begun to see the truth about the choices he was making. We know he is on the way to healing.
