Dental care in any pet is challenging. Not many of us check our dog's, cat's, rabbit's or other pet's teeth very often. Unlike us our pets don't do personal dental prevention. Playing ball or watching the birds are far more important to them. Even rabbit binking is a far more pleasurable endeavor than considering what foods they need to eat to keep their ever growing teeth in line with each other! That leaves their dental care to us as their caretakers.
Vaccination
By filling out this form we can keep your records up to date so you will be sure to get timely updates on Vaccination and Pet Health Care reminders from us.
Veterinary Ophthalmology
Senior/Geriatric pets require a change in how we interact and care for them. You may have noticed that your dog's eyes may have a haze or look blue. They are developing the old-age cataracts just as we do. You may also notice that when you come home your pet doesn't greet you anymore. Unfortunately, their hearing decreases as they age. Some rabbit owners notice an increase in urine staining or fecal staining on an older bunny. The older cat just can't quite make it to the window sill anymore without the aid of a step-stool or chair to help him/her get to the window.

Pain Management
Anything that causes pain in people can be expected to cause pain in animals. Pets may not show the same symptoms of pain as people do; they usually don't whine or cry, but you can be sure they feel it. Pain medications needed will depend on the surgery performed. Spaying and Neutering
Spaying or neutering can be done any time after 6 months of age. This can be discussed at your last pediatric visit.
Our doctors prefer doing a Complete blood count (CBC) and a chemistry screen, because it gives them the most information to ensure the safety of your pet. For geriatric or ill pets, additional blood tests, electrocardiograms, or x-rays may be required before surgery as well.
X-Ray
Dental Radiology
We have Digital Dental radiography to enhance our knowledge of checking your pet's mouth. Since 2012, we have had specialized equipments to deal with our exotic patients who have very different dental problems than our canine, feline and avian or reptile friends. Their mouths are really, really small so our fiber-optic handpieces help visualize their problems and correct them with less trauma and therefore less pain.
