The Jackson County Youth Center is a 50-bed juvenile facility, which serves the needs of court-involved delinquents. It offers a residential treatment program that includes group therapies, substance abuse counseling, assertiveness training and a wide range of recreational activities. The center supports a 20-bed unit, which houses juvenile offenders for various crimes, such as armed robbery, murder, arson, controlled substances violations and felony offenses. Located in Jackson, Mich., the center also offers a day treatment program that consists of group session on life skills, drug screening, community service and school programming. Additionally, the Jackson County Youth Center provides re-entry services after the resident s release and graduation from the residential treatment unit.
