Underground Indian Cuisine

The food here is incredible". The manager and staff are amazing. My neighbor was dining with friends at the restaurant when Mr. Pritesh was there.



I've been invited to tour the kitchen and it is very clean. I've worked in restaurants before and I can assure you, the grade is for that one moment in time when the inspector shows up. Things like the delivery truck leaving a box of onions on the floor right when the inspector shows up can cost you a letter grade. Or if your trash is full. Um, Las Colinas is under major construction, started last February. There were issues with trash pickup. Right around that time of the inspection.



After being thoroughly disgusted watching people eat with their hands, licking their fingers and hitting up the buffet right after at another Indian restaurant that got a B rating in Irving, that says all you need to know,



I'd rather eat at a place that the owner doesn't allow that nastiness. I witnessed him explain to people from his country that the health code here doesn't allow that during a buffet.



My friends explained this obnoxious man seemed fine until he started getting belligerent over a gnat! AFTER eating everything. He wanted his dinner for free over a gnat. In Texas. At a restaurant by a lake. Take his critique with a grain of salt. Perhaps he can go dwell in the nastiness of places that give him crap for free...even other people's nasty germs at the buffet. With a B rating

treating customers right matters. And Underground Indian Cuisine failed completely. You lost a customer tonight. - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and terrible food: It took 20 minutes for a waiter to get water. It took another 2 hour to get our food. It was obvious either management had not scheduled the correct amount of wait staff OR they had cut too many wait staff too soon, as the current wait staff was in the weeds and incapable of providing good customer service the entire time we were there. and yes they do charge $ 1 for 1/4 onion and $2 for one papadum; in all the indian restaurant i been to it is free of charge. and after visiting the restaurant i check to see the Irving health departments restaurant inspections because the restaurant was so filthy. When I recently checked the scores online, I saw that this restaurant received a letter grade of "D". There had to be some good reason to receive grade "D". and when we told Manager that the service was unacceptable and so he then started to argue instead listening to customer first. Never ever again ! we hated it.

This was easily the best Indian buffet I have had in a very long time. Everything has good spice, fresh, right temp and good service in a nice atmosphere. I will be back....and back....but right now I am stuffed!!! :-)
