L A Shoe Repair & Alterations

They have been great everytime! Shoes re-soaled. Had alterations done and perfect! Ready to pick up on time! Great kind people! Going back today!

I came upon this place by chance, and I'm glad I did. It sounds like the other the other reviewer had a bad experience with shoes, but I've had excellent service with alterations. They are reasonably priced. The tailor, Aysa, does a great job. More importantly, she knows how clothes are supposed to fit. Sometimes I ask her to make some changes, and she comes back with a better solution or a reason why I wouldn't want to make that change. That's the best kind of tailor. My only complaint is that their hours are little inconvenient. I wish they would stay open past 5 at least one night so that I can pick up clothes on the way to work.

I would say to look elsewhere. I had a shoe that broke that I needed for Sorority recruitment for my freshman year in college. I was leaving Friday afternoon and it was Thursday. That morning I called La Shoe Repair and Alterations and asked them if they thought it would be ready by lunchtime Friday. They assured me it would and told me to bring it in. I brought the shoe in, they looked at it and said it would be done after noon on Friday. I was thrilled that they could do it! I left them my name and number for any problems. On Friday at 2:00 pm, 2 hours before I left for college, I went to La Shoe to pick it up and it was not worked on at all. She said that it wouldn't be done till Tuesday! I was livid because she assured me it would be ready. I told her I was leaving and needed it. She told me I could take it and not pay her (obviously). So needless to say I was very unhappy and in a bad situation because I had to have those shoes. So DO NOT go to La Shoe. They could've called me and told me they would be late so I could've looked elsewhere but instead they waited till I came to them.
