Troje's Trash Pickup Service

Not sure what has changed at Troje's Trash but it appears that they are having significant business troubles. We had been customers for years and had no issues; it is just this last year (2015) that we began to experience the same issues that many others have described. Missed pickups, unresponsiveness, and poor customer service have become normal business practices for them. Best to not sign up for new service with them until they can get these things straightened out.

I have had to call Troje's for the past 8+ weeks to report that trash and/or recycling didn't get picked up (I have also had to do this numerous other times over the past 1+ year). I had to wait over 3 WEEKS!!!! to have recycling picked up last month after many calls to Troje's. After my first year premium of ~$55, they tried to raise the price to ~$100, but had to go back to the original price because I didn't initial in agreement on their contract. I tried to cancel my service today due to their failing to provide services I've paid for, but now they are claiming I owe them $250 cancellation fee. I am pretty sure that portion of the contract is in the same section as the premium increase portion that wasn't initialed. Regardless, if they are not providing services that have been paid for, there should be no cancellation fee since they broke their contract. If anything, they should be paying me (refund) for all of the times they didn't pick up trash and/or recycling and all of MY time. This company shouldn't be allowed to operate with all of the complaints and negative reviews they have. TENNIS is a MUCH BETTER option!!! This company is out to rob people blind with their open-ended contracts and ridiculous cancellation fee (that is more than 1 year of service)!



Avoid these people and this company! DO NOT sign a contract with them unless you are prepared for your quarterly premium to double, or maybe even triple, after your first year. Any complaint you call in they brush off like it's no big deal. Today, after SO MANY phone calls, I get an excuse of "the driver thought you were in an alley, so he went to the end and didn't see anything." Really? The "alley" is 2 houses that share a driveway/garbage area at the back in the 600-610 range of the block before mine and I'm down on the next block in the 700 range. Every other time the excuses were, "I'm not sure what happened, but we'll get there right away tomorrow" (which never happens), "the truck had some issues," "the weather was too bad so they missed some pick-ups," and the list goes on. All of the excuses are made up, they just fail at business. This company should be shut down by the city/state.

Terrible company and terrible service. Routinely missed our pickups. And now, they won't call us back so we can cancel our service. They must think its a good business policy to hold people hostage to their service by not responding to cancellation requests. Stay away.

Trojes gets ZERO stars from me because THEY SUCK!!! I plan on rallying saint Paul park against them. They are the WORST garbage company out there. I have tolerated them for a year and they have managed to forget My garbage and recycling at LEAST 25 times in one flipping year. I was with tennis for TEN years and not once did they forget my garbage or recycling. NEVER sign up with them!!! You will regret it!!!!!!

They have the worst billing it's is incomprehensible!!!! I have a 150$ credit and they didn't pick up my trash again today!!!!!!!! They went 5 weeks without pick up previously when I had a credit !!!!!!!! Worst company ever

One on the worst trash companies out there. They not only dump your trash all over the ground when they try to collect your trash, they then just leave it on the ground in your driveway and say they didnt do it. You show them the VIDEO of their workers leaving the trash on the ground and they say its not their problem that their own workers did it. Total disregard for customer satisfaction and a total lack of company pride. I suggest you stay as far away from this so called company that you can. They are not the cheapest out there but they certainly are the WORST!!

Deceptive billing practices on new customer contracts. My bill more then doubled on over inflated surcharges that were twice the amount of garbage service alone. They try to hold $250 cancellation fees on you . Beware!!! And do not give in to there open ended " surcharge fees " Take a stand , as this is affecting many home owners in Dakota County ! Call attorney general and your city officials please ! Along with dumping recyclables in with regular garbage
