- Donley violins offers complete restoration, repair, and appraisal services on violin, viola, cello, bass, and bows. We have served over a thousand customers in all genres of music including orchestral and ensemble players, jazz bass and fiddle, bluegrass and old-time fiddle, country, and rock. All work is performed by Timothy Donley, violin restorer. A selection of new and antique instruments is available for those shopping for fiddles, violins, violas, cellos, basses, and bows. Rentals will soon be available.

- We are located in scenic Grayson County, Virginia, about a two hour drive from Charlotte or Roanoke, about a 1.5 hr drive from Abingdon, and just 20 minutes from Galax. Advance appointments may be made for sound adjustments, bow rehairs, appraisals, or to drop off instruments for more involved repairs or restoration. While you wait, you can relax on our porch, visit the nearby Powerhouse Waterfalls, explore historic Independence or Galax, ride the New River Trail, or explore the many opportunities for fly fishing area creeks and the scenic New River.
