This place is awesome, great service, awesome price

So - my story as a father is as follows... I went with my son to help him with his wedding reception on Nov 2, 2013. Little did I known that later that day I would be a victim in an armed robbery when I took my 71 year old father-in-law to get a carton of cigarettes at the Stop N Shop off 291 & 24 highways. We walked out of the store and out of the corner of my eye, I saw that my father-in-law had been grabbed and was being held at gunpoint, being accosted and robbed... I turned to help, but was shot. Life changes.



I paid in full that day to reserve the Cotillion Hall for Dec 14, 2013. Due to the extenuating circumstances, I contacted the Cotillion owners on November 18 to notify them of our desire to cancel the venue as my son and his fiancé had decided to wait regarding definite plans until we have recovered. The owner responded that she was 'sorry about my luck but we won't refund your money because we don't have it - because we had bills to pay.'



What's this world coming to? A young couple wants to celebrate their marriage with their family present for the event. If this business - a business set up to provide a venue for life events - is so hard up that they cannot even afford to show compassion, they should get out - and certainly not burden families/clients with stories of their financial problems. It looks as though I'm not the only one that feels this way.

If I told my best friend about this place nothing good would be mentioned. The place was supposed to be set up, swept, power washed, and ready for us to decorate the day of our wedding. The cotillion did not have the dead leaves from the winter picked up and our wedding was in July. I had to convince the owner that it as not a wise idea to power wash the area with under an hour before our wedding was suppose to start and my bride to be was taking pictures. The inside looked great due to the help of my family and friends who put together the chair covers that were suppose to be done in advance. The photographer that they recommended took our pictures and it has been over 8 weeks with still no pictures. The DJ was great he kept the crowd interested and had a lot of fun activities that made the wedding fun and helped me forget about the beyond poor experience I had just paid good money for. Pay more for a better place or you will regret this place.

We had out wedding reception last March and We loved the place. The owners are great and so is the DJ. Our parents needed a ride home from the reception and the cab never showed so the DJ took them to the hotel for us. They are willing to do anything and everything that is asked for and we loved working with them. We would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great place and at a great price.

This is a great place for weddings & receptions. The service was exceptional and the cost was very reasonable. Thanks for the great DJ provided with the service! We had a great time and my guests were very impressed with the garden. I'm glad my friend told me about it.
