Westside Auto Electric

Phone quoted $90.00 to rebuild a carry-in alternator. The At the counter $30 more. Next day I went in to pick it up, my old one still on the counter and he had a new one right next to it. Said it was a better one and that mine was cheap aftermarket even though I was looking right at mine with the "Motorcraft" stamping on it. He said this one is much better and he would do me a favor and sell it for the same as the overhaul quote. I asked him what brand/model it was and as I was looking at it he quickly grabbed it and applied a "Westside Auto Electric" tinfoil sticker directly on top of the manufacturers sticker but not before I read the model # and saying "it's a good one, made in USA, I use them all the time". I Googled the model number and the first hit was from Amazon "discount alternator model 8260n" (same exact one) for $83.95!!!! At that point he said "if you want, I can rebuild yours it will only take a couple of hours". I thought that's what I wanted him to do YESTERDAY.
