Somerset Apartments

l love in somerset apartments, it has taken 2 weeks for them to replace my light bulb, i saw maintenance men outside so i caught them, they replace the bulb but my light still doesnt work....they also had my car towed away and didnt tell me about it, my car was gone for 2 days and i didnt know about it til the following friday of the same week, i come home from work and i had no idea i was double parked in the parking lot, wellllll, they dont have any efficient lighting in the back parking lot so i couldnt see, that was on a wednesday night then 2 days later i found out from a 911 dispatcher my car was towed, i thought it had been stolen, to get my car out of storage it cost me 295.00 dollars, they will not give me my money back, this was not my fault, i couldnt see, and they didnt notify me that my car had been towed, i am going to write there boss at there corporate office and see if i can get my money back that way.... brandy the girl that had my car towed was not very professional about my situation, they hardly have any working washers in the laundry room near me and its always a mess, never cleaned, and the lint filters in the dryers need to be taken apart and cleaned right, i get lint on my uniforms because of the lint under the filters from the dryers, if they just took the time to go and look at what the problems they have, maybe they will re-evaluate there problems that they have around here... This place is horrible !!! The staff is rude and don't care about their jobs. It has been a living hell here. With all the plumbing problems I can't count the times I have Ben in the shower an they cut the water off and when u go to the office to complain all they tell you is to put it in writing and still do nothing about it. The cops are in and out of here all the time. My car got broke into. I couldt wait to get out of here

The people at Somerset Apartments are very unprofessional. When I first moved in back in October 2007 they were bragging about getting a large sum of money to help spruce the place up. Today it still looks the exact same the only reason it had any work done was because of IKE. In January 2009 I decided to move out which broke my lease for the contract, I felt really happy to get out of there because it was just a dump, a hole in the wall kind of place. When I moved out I gave them all of my information to mail me my bill but instead of getting a bill they decided to have a collection agency call me and threaten me instead. It turns out that the woman who did my paper work never processed it the month I moved out. Her name is Blanca. In May when I was contacted from the collection agency was the first time I heard anything about owing a bill. It took about three months to get the price which was being claimed of $1500 down to $400 which was still BS. I kept telling them to send me a receipt but they never would. They eventually threatened to put this on my credit which was completely uncalled for because it was the apartments fault in the first place. I did pay it off, which was still more than what I should ve owed but I wanted nothing more to do with these people. I had originally a security deposit and later a pet deposit with $150 non-refundable from $300. I am still curious where the $400 came from as well as where my deposits went to. The whole business was very unprofessional especially taking their time to get things resolved.



Anyone who thinks of Somerset Apartment or has just read this just look the other way unless you want to live in a dump.



They also claim to have a gated community but the Gates are never closed or do they ever lock because on most of the gates the knob is broken. They claim it s the people of the complex who are being destructive.

When I first moved in it was dirty but cheap. I felt relatively safe and it was close to everything I needed. Over the years it has continued to become inhabitable. People have been assaulted in the parking lot. I hear gun shots at least once a month now. The maintenance people are WORTHLESS!!! And the apartment management are unprofessional. They hold you word for word to your contract yet will not take accountability for their part of the contract. I continue to get water spots and maintenance will not fix the problem. I finally realized when I get them it's best to just paint over them myself. I reported the caulk lifting around my tub several times and because maintenance would not fix it I now have a daily mold problem. I have been without a refrigerator for a FULL MONTH. Is that even legal'!' I WILL NOT BE RESIGNING MY LEASE.
