The bladder and urethral muscles become weaker with age, increased pressure, and a decrease in estrogen. Weak muscles may cause problems in emptying the bladder completely or cause urinary incontinence. Performed in our office, Urodynamic tests measure the bladder's ability to empty steadily and completely. Women who have had a total hysterectomy for benign conditions and women over the age of 65 may have screening less often.
Endometrial Ablation
This is procedure to remove a thin tissue layer of the uterus to reduce heavy bleeding by removing or destroying the endometrium (lining of the uterus). Endometrial ablation can drastically improve the quality of life for women who are suffering from heavy and prolonged menstrual bleeding, that in some cases is so severe that daily activities become interrupted and anemia develops. Common causes include hormonal imbalance, uterine fibroids, polyps, pregnancy complications, and dysfunction of the ovaries, among other things. Ablation is an alternative to hysterectomy for many women. In most cases, this procedure can be done in our office. Patients are home within a few hours of the procedure and prefer this convenient alternative to an extended, expensive hospital stay. Most of the time, you can return to normal activities within a day or so.

BBL is a noninvasive, safe method to improve the look and feel of the skin without undergoing the pain and downtime associated with deep laser resurfacing. You should have virtually no downtime. In most cases, you are able to return to work, apply makeup, and resume most of your activities immediately.

A: Yeast is a fungus that lives on our skin and thrives in moist dark environments. People who get recurrent yeast infections should avoid irritants to their vaginas (douching, harsh soaps) and limit sugar intake. Sometimes people who complain of recurrent yeast infections actually have other types of vaginal infections. People who notice recurrence of infections should see their healthcare provider for further guidance.
Lesions
You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. For some pigmented lesions, you will see a darkening of the treated areas followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage. Your treated skin will feel smoother, fine lines and pores will be less noticeably and sunspots or uneven pigmentation will fade. Results depend on your condition, the number of treatments, and the area treated. We will provide you with complete information about the post treatment care and results.
Skin Care
It is important to follow our instructions. You may be given some skin care products and instructions on how to use them. You will be sensitive to ultra-violet light and you must avoid direct sun exposure until completely healed. Fully cover your skin or use a good sunscreen whenever you go outdoors.
