i would not even give this business one star do not support this business!

the owner of hornell cinemas sexually harasses the employees it can be seen at any given time when the owner is "working". he discriminates against men in the hiring process and actually throws out applications submitted by males and then claims none were submitted. the building itself is far from sanitary. the bathrooms are bacteria ridden and are rarely cleaned. urined is often on the floors and walls of the bathrooms. the popcorn in the containers often sits in there for weeks and the old popcorn is rarely thrown out. the popcorn is instead pushed to the bottom of the bin only to get older and stale and sold at a ridiculously high price. the movies are shown in poor quality with low sound and a loud air conditioner blocks out sound in the larger theater. this place cannot be improved under current management due to the fact that the owner refuses to make improvements and instead makes illogical excuses and makes nasty comments degrading the employees efforts to improve the business. the employees are never happy to be working there and are rarely thanked or given appreciation for their work. the employees are often seen in wrinkly dirty shirts that are apparently after asking are found to be stored in a dirty closet and never washed. at least one of the employees has been seen working while under the influence of drugs and or alcohol and when brought to the attention of the owner it was dismissed and never investigated. On more than one occasion employees curse infront of customers or answer the phone in an unprofessional mannerm if they answer at all. amung other things this theater is not worth supporting due to the simple fact that the employees are underpaid and most of the money goes to the owner who does not turn the money around in any way to improve the business.



if you live in hornell going to a different theater is worth the drive support other theaters ...
