Just got off the phone with with them after calling about a rental listing in Makiki. I have no idea what is wrong with the woman (and I am using this term politely) who answered, but I'm not sure how asking about available listings led me to her snapping, "You don't have to be so arrogant!" (This was after me clarifying that it didn't have to be a 2 bedroom apartment) I've lived in parts of the Mainland before, but this is Hawaii. What happened to the Aloha Spirit or just plain old good customer service? If you treat your customers this way, good luck staying in business. Maybe this woman was menopausal or having a bad day or something, but STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. 4 1 star reviews don't lie, and quite frankly, I would give them 0 stars if I could. BEWARE.

Any property managed by Newtown Realty must be aware.



First of all, the owner does not intend to manage but make money and only money.



If you ask anything to be replaced, the only answer you'll get is No or move out.



She literally told me to move out after I politely asked her to replace a cabinet that didn't open.



I am happy to be out of their apartment.

I called for a friend about a rental listing. The woman was very rude! While I was asking questions, she seemed to get upset and was telling me, "ok, OK?!" Then she says they need a credit score of over 650. I told her that her score was well over 800. She says, "what does she do?" I said, "she's a teacher." She then says, " I highly doubt that!" WTF is up with that?!

I call back hoping to talk to a supervisor or owner and the guy that answers is giving me that deer in the headlights speech over the phone! He wouldn't provide me with a supervisors name or even the owners name!

WHAT IS UP WITH THIS COMPANY!??!



This is not how a business is supposed to be!

The listed owner of this place is very unprofessional and rude. I called to ask information about getting something repaired. I was told that I would get a phone call, which I didn't so I called to f/u. She told me that if the repair person tried to call once and you don't answer they don't call back. I'm thinking....really, what kind of business is that? We don't sit around waiting for unknown phone calls. So, I asked they don't leave messages? She responded very rudely and aggressively. " I don't care what you think, that's how we do business. If you don't like it, you can move out". How rude! Was that necessary?! That's not how you speak to people period.
