Crown Court Restaurant was established in 1990 as the finest food court in Hawaii with elegant Italian and Philippine Marble flooring and counters, mirrored wall d cor, etched glasses with Maile leaf and the Hawaiian Crown Court Motif. A four concept Restaurant features a fusion of Asian, American, and European Cuisine. A lavish Dessert Parlor and foile, which entertained guests with espresso delights and sweet tempting cakes and frozen treats. The Crown Court Restaurant located on the top floor of Duty Free Waikiki Galleria next to the ever famous Royal Hawaiian thrived with success. Mr. Luis Butay Jr. has an extensive background in the restaurant business. He first came aboard the Hawaii Culinary scene in the 70's. With over 39 years of experience Mr. Butay has showcased his talent and flair as Executive Chef opening 5 restaurant locations of Liberty House (now Macy's) Executive Chef Oceana Floating Restaurant (now in Hong Kong Harbor). Sous Chef Hawaiian Regent Hotel (now Marriott). Mr. Butay has also held the position of Banquet Chef for the Sheraton Hotel Waikiki and other restaurant positions in Hawaii. Luis and Len Butay, Jr. are graduates (with honors) of the Far Eastern University in the Philippines and both have taken an extensive amount of business courses in various colleges in Hawaii.
