The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1950. It provides legal services in the areas of civil and criminal law for low-income individuals. The society manages a staff of more than 50 people who support and promote family reunification. The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii offers a variety of advocacy services that include child custody, housing assistance and employment opportunities. The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii assists with the drafting of court orders and forms. The society publishes Ka Leo Kaulike, which is a newsletter that features information about its activities throughout the year.
