Founded in 1985, Bilingual Access Line is one of the programs offered by Helping Hands Hawai'i. Under this program, it provides qualified interpreters and translators in approximately 17 languages. It provides interpretation services to hospitals, hotels and corporations, as well as government agencies. The primary languages covered by the program include Cantonese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Vietnamese and Taiwanese. The program offers on-site and over-the-phone translation services. In addition, the company has a staff of foreign language interpreters, registered nurses, licensed social workers, mental health workers, representative payees and warehouse workers. Bilingual Access Line maintains its corporate headquarters in Honolulu.
