The Surgical Services Team consists of highly trained PMHC teammates, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and over 15 visiting specialty physicians and surgeons. The endoscopy video equipment in each room allows the doctor to utilize the camera and view the work in real-time on a 26â€ monitor.Â The equipment also features a printer for the doctor and patient to see procedure details.

Our education program is taught by a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) and registered dieticianÂ to help give you insights to effectively manage your diabetes on a day-to-day basis so you can live a healthier life. After completing the program, participants have experienced reduced hemoglobin A1c levels and are more confidenceÂ in their ability to manage their diabetes.

Our surgical services department spans 33,000 square feetÂ which include threeÂ operating suites andÂ two scope rooms. One of our operating suites consists of a unique bay for newborn babies to receive care immediately after they are born through a cesarean section.Â All equipped suites feature state-of-the-art Stryker Integrated Operating Systems. To ensure exceptional care for those patients requiring surgical procedures on their spine, we have equipped one of the operating suites with a â€œSpinal Table Systemâ€ which allows the surgeon more options based on the needs of the patient. â€‹â€‹â€‹Each equipped operating suite is fully equipped with identical anesthesia equipment. These systems are capable of integrating medical data that can be transferred between suites if needed.â€‹

Dr. Andreas Sauerbrey and Dr. Jeffrey Schopp are both board certified orthopaedic surgeons who travel to Holdrege to see patients weekly at the Phelps Memorial Specialty Clinic at the Plaza.

The Phelps Memorial Therapy Center is staffed by physical therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapist assistants, physical therapy aides, speech-language pathologist, and secretary/office managers. We offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy focuses on helping people to be as independent as possible in their environment.Â We work closely with physicians and other health care professionals to help develop, improve, sustain, or restore the highest possible level of function for individuals whose lives have been disrupted by a physical injury or illness. We cover inpatient rehab, home health, and outpatient coverage through the hospital.
