General Info

Camp Powhatan is one of the largest, council-owned scout camps in the United States. The camp provides participation options in several activities, including climbing and rappelling for boys. It organizes badge programs and evening activities. Camp Powhatan also offers wireless Internet access. The camp provides archery and wilderness survival programs. It features various camping facilities, such as scoutmaster and nature lodges. In addition, the camp features a base for river adventure and voyageur programs. It offers merit badge programs in woodcarving, space exploration, fishing, forestry and emergency preparedness. The camp additionally provides breakfast and lunch services. Camp Powhatan is managed by the Blue Ridge Mountains Council.
