The Designer Consigner is fantastic. Especially if you are consigning. Yes the store is crowded and yes the owner is a character but it is also not Bergdorf's If you want Bergdorf's sales people pay Bergdrof's prices

This designer consignment shop was very cluttered, unkept and overpriced. I thought the items for sale were not in great condition either. I hope to find a better high end consignment shop. This one wasn't it for me.

Normally, I do not write reviews, but because of the experience I had with the business owner I felt it necessary to write one. I entered the store with my two boys ages 20 months and 3 1/2 years old with an item I was hoping to consign. (a brand new BCBG linen suit - tags still on it, on a hanger, and in the delivery box). Upon entering the store I noticed a woman who I assumed work there considering she was the only person in the store. She never acknowledged me, so I approached her and asked her if she took consignments and after looking me up and down said yes and asked what I had. After I told her I had a brand new suit, her attitude seemed to change immediately. But because of her first reaction towards me, I told her I changed my mind and that I would take my business elsewhere. She then said very sarcastically "fine - have a nice day" and walked away from me! I was so upset because I really could not believe how rude she was to me. I was at a complete loss for words. I think a professional business owner would have been concerned about losing a potential customer and consigner, but obviously I wasn't dealing with a professional. I then put my children in my SUV and returned to the store to take her business card and to let her know how rude she was to me, especially in front of my two boys! She then again brushed me off, told me I was sensitive among other things and to leave her store....but also she made sure to tell me again, very sarcastically to have a nice day! I have never dealt with a person so rude in all my life! I'm not sure if it was because I had my children with me, but for all you moms out there I'm sure you can relate - sometimes when running errands you have no choice but to take them with you. They were not in the store long enough to even cause a problem, but I don't know what else would have caused the store owner to react the way she did towards me! It was wrong of her, and I will never enter that store again! I will also let everybody I know that her store is not worth entering. Remember Rosanne Bush....word of mouth is very powerful!
