Our favorite restaurant in Hilo. Delicious, flavorful, healthy thai food. Must haves: fried sweet potatoes, basil fried rice, buddha rama curry, yellow curry, and iced thai tea with cream.

By Kaulakaua Park downtown Hilo. Fresh ingredients. Chicken salad is one of my favorites. Chicken cooked and chopped up with lemongrass, spiced up a little bit. Served with Romaine lettuce leaves. Scoop up the chicken salad into the leaves and enjoy!. Papaya salad is good. Nice simple wood decor, views out to the park and street. I recommend New Chian Mai Thai over Royal Siam on Mamo Street. I can't say their food is bad, I was never served my meal when there with friends!
