Doris Bridal Boutique

A friend of mine recommended going to Doris Bridal. She bought her dress here four years ago and loved it. She said to tell them my price range and they will work within it.I did just that. The owner Annette was fabulous. She made me feel so comfortable and had me laughing so hard when trying to fit into a sample dress that I almost couldn't get it on. This was the first place I went to and I fell in love with my dress. I did go to David Bridals and the experience was just NOT the same. It just reinforced my decision. I have heard brides being stress out to find "thee" dress, but I found it. I highly recommend this place to everyone no matter what your budget.

I went here after noticing that they carried Pronovias dresses. I have always loved pronovias so I thought I would give them a try. Since this was the 3rd store I went to I already had an idea of what I liked and what I didn't. They did a fantastic job of showing me dresses that they thought I would like. I ended up choosing a dress that had a crumb-catcher top with the promise that she could make it into a sweetheart top. (I never thought I would want a sweetheart top but it really accentuated my shape). I had nightmares and mini-meltdowns worrying about this dress turning out horribly until I saw the completed alterations. Annette really knows how to flatter a woman's body. She is absolutely incredible and I can't say enough good things about her. I highly recommend this boutique

I had been at Doris' once before when a friend and I did a bridal intervention for a co-worker who kept putting off shopping for a gown due to time constraints and a general lack of enthusiasm for trying on dresses. That trip was a great success, so when I heard about a 3-day sample sale over the Thanksgiving weekend, I made an early morning appointment for my daughter on the first day of the sale. When we arrived at the shop, we were the first and only clients there and were ushered downstairs to a large rack of sample gowns. We were told we'd pretty much be on our own in looking for, and trying on the dresses (their practice for sample sales), so we started by pulling about 5 dresses off the rack for my daughter to try on. While she was standing in the mirror with Dress #1, one of their sales associates, Donna, came downstairs and asked if we needed help.

I happened upon Doris by chance- ever since I attended a Bridal Expo I've been bombarded with tons of emails from bridal salons, etc., notifying me of every possible event related to weddings. Usually I delete them, but by chance I opened this one...and lo and behold I see that this place Doris Bridal is having a sample sale (this was over Thanksgiving Day weekend) and they carry the Pronovias line of dresses! I knew that I wanted a Pronovias dress, and so I made an appointment right away. The Sunday appt. that I had was pretty great- it was the first place I had ever visited for a bridal gown and I had no idea what to expect. My mom, one of my sisters, and one of my bridesmaids accompanied me, and Jessi was my consultant. Although I have no other experiences to compare this one to, I will tell you that she is AMAZING. She completely "got" me, knew exactly what style I was looking for, and brought out only the style dresses that she thought I would like.

I'd found a dress in Cincinnati, but wanted to make sure that it was "the one". I called around retailers, before finding Doris' Bridal Boutique. They'd just sent their sample to a consignment shop, but they called to get it back for me to try on. Score! Caroline was amazing! So relaxed and really listened to what I wanted. And Annette is very down-to-earth as well. They explained my options and I just really feel like I'm being taken care of :) The best part-- while I've lost almost 25 pounds, I'd like to lose just a little more before measuring. They didn't pressure me or make me feel bad about this- in fact, they let me know that I ahve about six more weeks, then I need to come back in to order the dress. Totally do-able! Definitely go to this store- they have reasonable, beautiful gowns!

This was the first place I went shopping for my wedding dress, and after visiting several more boutiques this remains the best experience I've had. The saleswoman was extremely helpful and polite, the ambiance was perfect, and the dresses were gorgeous. There are veils, pins, gloves, sashes, etc... that are available to try on with the dresses. You can just go to town yourself through the bins picking what you think will look best. I told my consultant that my budget was slim for a wedding dress ($1,500 - $2,000) and everything she brought out was less than $1,500!! Perfect!

I got my Prom dress here 10 years ago, so I wanted to start at Doris' for my wedding dress search! I am so glad I did! I felt very special being here, and they really listened to my tastes and opinions. They had me try on different belts and other embellishments that I asked for, and I felt like a princess! Great experience! Call ahead to make an appt. for wedding gown trying on, FYI!

Doris"s was recommended to me by an acquaintance who's son was getting married. She'd been all over the North Shore looking at Mother of the Groom dresses. She ended up at Doris's and was thrilled she did! After checking out many stores myself and being overwhelmed by the prices and lack of personal service, I went to Doris' and I'm so happy I did. I went with my best friend and had the most wonderful experience shopping for my son's wedding this New Years Eve. Bridget , my sales person, was absolutely fantastic. I tried on about 10 dresses and was thrilled to find out that all the dresses were under 1,000.00. Sounds crazy, but a lot of places I checked out were thousands. Certainly not in my budget. I ended up falling in love with a few dresses, but one stood out. It was a Pronovias which now I found out is a leading designer in wedding dresses. I put the dress on hold and came back 4 days later with my cousin. I put it on and we both had tears in our eyes. I said "yes to the dress!"

Loved my wedding dress however the seamstress messed up adding an underskirt. So in all my wedding photos there is a line across my stomach. The prices are actually lower here than any places online. It would have been nice to have some other options besides strapless. I'm really done with every bride having a strapless gown, I'd like to have seen some V-necks, portrait collars etc. Annette was helpful and patient. However I wish she never handed it off to her Hispanic seamstress, she said it was a language barrier, which I don't really care because she messed up my dress and it shows in all the pictures.

Let's just put it out there: NO ONE likes being a bridesmaid. You have to wear an inevitably ugly dress, a heinous updo and if you're lucky, a pair of dyed-to-match pumps. Blech. But if you're going to suffer through the dress buying process, you should go to a bridal boutique that makes the absolute best out of a less than desirable situation. Enter Doris' Bridal Boutique. I've had three, yes THREE, bridesmaid dress experiences at Doris' and they've all been excellent. The first was for my older sister's wedding about five years ago. When Big Sis M. decided to purchase her wedding gown at Doris', we decided to do bridesmaid dresses at Doris' as well. As I was pawing through the sea of taffeta and charmeuse, Doris herself came over and asked me if anything was jumping out. I asked her opinion on what she thought would look good on me. Doris literally looked me up and down, swiftly grabbed a handful of dresses and was like, "These." Wow.

Doris was recommended by a family friend. I was a little skeptical because it doesn't look particularly nice from the outside. It was my first stop to try on wedding dresses. I'm happy to say the 5th dress I tried on was the one! They were so helpful. I went in there without a clue what I wanted and they figured it out fast! Don't judge a book by it's cover - this place is GREAT.

I cannot say enough good things about all the women who work at Doris Bridal! They are super accommodating and go with the flow. I went to Doris for the first time during their Black Friday sale and had hesitations since I knew I'd be looking for a size 12/14 dress. They had plenty of samples for me to choose from at a fraction of my budget. I ended up getting a dress, size 14, for less than I had planned to spend on the gown accessories. Caroline was my sales person and she was hysterical and very down to earth. She knew exactly what I was looking for and made my wedding party feel welcome. My first fitting I went in excited to try on my dress and was underwhelmed with what I had originally chosen.

When my daughter and i started looking for wedding dresses she had seen several styles that she wanted to try. After calling around we found out that Doris Bridal Boutique carried the brand she was looking for so we made an appointment. The staff could not have been more kind or helpful. Especially the owner who worked with my daughter through the process. She helped my daughter work through the decision herself, giving her guidance when needed. The end result was a beautiful dress on a beautiful bride. The day of the wedding we heard MANY comments on how beautiful her dress was and how lovely she looked.
