Smoking Cessation
No appointment needed for Urgent Care. Open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Years Day. We may have limited hours during other holidays or severe weather conditions so please call our office before coming to FirstCare if you have any questions. We draw blood to send off to laboratories for most other tests. FirstCare Family Practice is now a “Well-Only” Practice. What this means is our Family Practice will not be seeing any patients who are presenting with respiratory illnesses. Employees are monitored for fever and will not be permitted to work if ill. FemTouch promotes the stimulation of new vaginal tissue growth, by triggering collagen production. Jennifer Barresi, FNP, PMHNP-BC is a certified nurse practitioner who holds dual board certification in Family Health and Psychiatric Mental Health. She was raised in New Paltz and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Medical Anthropology from University of Oregon in 1993 and later a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as a Registered Nurse from Binghamton University in 1998. In 2011, she received her degree as a Nurse Practitioner from Binghamton University, graduating second in her class. In 2017, she earned a Post-Masters degree in Psychiatric Mental Health from New York University. Jenn has an extensive nursing background in women’s health and care of the young adult population. She also has special interests in both integrative and botanical medicine having been certified as a clinical herbalist at the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She worked as an EMT for New Paltz Rescue while completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at SUNY New Paltz, and then went across the river to Marist College where she earned her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. Early on in PA school she knew that Urgent Care was going to be her specialty, and so she has gained tremendous experience learning from and working for multiple urgent cares in the Hudson Valley area. Other clinical interests of hers include women’s health and orthopedics.

Stephen Weinman, M.D. was born in New York and raised in New Paltz, graduating from New Paltz High School in 1980. He graduated from Cornell University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and in 1989 he graduated from Upstate Medical School in Syracuse, New York. He went on to complete his residency training in Family Practice in Binghamton. Since 1992 Dr. Weinman has worked in many emergency departments, urgent cares and family practices around the country and as far as Guam, in the South Pacific. Dr. Weinman is a certified Medical Review Officer, a United States Civil Surgeon and a New York State Trooper Surgeon working as a doctor in Highland and New Paltz. Doctor Weinman has a special interest in cosmetic dermatology and owns Essence MediSpa at FirstCare Medical Center. He is a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery and the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society.
