You can imagine how hard it is to reach a plumber on a Sunday morning. Our washing machine drain was clogged and there was an inch of water on the laundry room floor. We looked up the list of plumbers in Greensboro and started calling them. Some did not answer, others said they were already booked and told me to call back Monday. When I called All-Star the owner, Larry Davis, answered. He had a kind, friendly voice and apologized that he could not help me that minute as his son was out on a job but he would try to reach him throughout the morning to see if he could get to us. He told me to go ahead and continue to call other companies as he knew we needed to solve our problem as quickly as possible, I spoke with 5 or 6 other companies and they either said to try them on Monday or that they were already tied up. Out of curiosity I asked what they would charge. The prices they quoted ranged all over the spectrum--from $175 to $500. Just as I was about to give up, Mr Davis called me back and said he was sending someone out. A young man, Dakota, arrived shortly after and fixed the drain in less than an hour, He was very competent and polite. He then offered us tips we were not aware of to prevent such drainage clogs in the future. The final charge was very reasonable, about in the mid-range of the other companies I spoke with. We were so pleased with the service and the price that from now on we will always call All-Star when we need a trustworthy plumber.

They charged me $375.00 to come out to work on my drains. The guy who came out couldn't open the main access in my basement, so he ran an auger through a different pipe. The next morning, my problem was WORSE! I spoke with Larry Davis, Jr. who owns All Star Plumbing TWICE to have them come back out. His answer was that they don't warranty or guarantee their drain work, so I would have to pay AGAIN for them to come back out. This morning, I had Eller Sewer and Drain Cleaning come out. They opened the main access with NO PROBLEM and fixed my issue....the charge was only $85.00. I would warn EVERYONE to avoid Larry Davis, Jr. and (so called) All Star Plumbing at all costs. Apparently the reason they don't guarantee their work is because they don't know what they're doing.

The breaker for our water heater tripped and we lost hot water despite flipping the switch back on the breaker. It was about 4pm and getting late in the afternoon. We weren't sure if we would be able to get a plumber out to see us that same day. I gave All Star Plumbing a call and someone was at our home within 30 minutes. After inspecting the water heater, the plumber told us the heating element was done and needed replacement. He was able to complete the repair quickly and cleaned up nicely. I would recommend this company to anyone. I should mention that they are more expensive than other plumbers we've used before. The cost just to come out to our house was $100.00. He did include that in the final repair cost which we felt was reasonable for the high quality service we had received. He was friendly and very professional too.

I called because our water heater stopped working. They were so quick to get someone out (within the hour) and only charged about $30 just to come out. Though our water heater needs to be replaced, they were able to get it working for the time being. The guys were so nice... they even took their shoes off before walking into the house... wow! Their prices are a little high to replace the water heater but was definitely impressed with the service and friendliness of the company.
