WHAT HAPPEN,

Mark, said $60 for a diagnostic and that would apply towards repair. I showed him the failed test from the other shop and he said it looks like something simple, that it would be $100. The price goes to $200, then $300. Mark, then added a muffler ($84 value). He said it would be free, since we had agreed on $300 before the muffler was even mentioned. It fails 3 times while he is continually confused on what to do. I told Mark if I could just pay him $100 for the muffler since he can't diagnose the problem and we'll be on our way. He then tells me to go and buy an oxygen sensor at my expense which costs me $70. I tell Mark to please get the car done wed need the car for work. He finally gets it's done 8 days later. I tell him that he should deduct the $70 for the oxygen sensor I paid for because he kept saying it would be $300 total, but he said no. only part he put was a muffler. Mark should have supplied the $70 part as part of our $300 agreement, I'M INTO THIS FOR $370

I have a Toyota and it was there for over a month! The owner just dances around questions you ask him and every mechanic I asked about anything always answered "I don't know." Except a guy named Tony he was good. Nobody seemed to know anything until it came time to pay then they knew exactly how to do business ofcourse they tried to charge me for it being there for so long so I had to argue with them until I got him down to $600!!! For a mass air flow sensor that only cost about $200 total installed in 20 minutes.

I like this place, they are very friendly and I always have a good service !!

I have been a regular customer already, and this time I took my Honda Civic, which has seen work here before, to fix a power window. At first, it was expensive, and I contemplated not fixing it. Then I shopped around and found the repair cheaper elsewhere. But Tokyo drops the $60 diagnosis when U fix the problem! They not only did that, but the manager decided to give me a discount so that they could make money, but more importantly, it would be more convenient for me at that point. They also finished the job much earlier than the estimated time! I highly recommend this place to ANYone needing car repairs! The window now works wonderfully--just like a new car!

all I have to say is that they are hard working! I couldn't get up the hill until 8pm to pick up my nissan but they still waited for me. I needed it to take my kids to the doctor the next morning. that was really nice of them.

Hey, I took my car here for the first time to have a radiator hose changed several months ago, and it's still holding up. Although it was only my first time here, they did a good job, and it's a good first impression. I plan to come back for my future needs.

I took my car to tokyo repair for oil change and test only smog I spoke with Mark the manager. He said he could pass my car but he is not a test only shop, he is only a smog check shop. The next day he said I needed a belt replacement and a air filter and charged me a 60 dollars fee for check-up and said the total amount f or the job was going to be 170.00 dollars. The next day Mark called again and said that he needed more parts to fix car and asked for more money, he keep lying about finishing the car and everytime he would call and he would say that he needed more money because the parts were to expensive. Five days later he calls me and tells me that he needs more money to fix the car and I told him no and when to pick it up, and a few blocks after I picked up the car I was with my two kids thomas 3 years old and Annie 9 years old when suddenly the car started to overheat and smog started to come out and the coolant started to drip and the steering got really hard and the belt was really loose. I took the car back to Tokyo tire and Mark said that he would check it for free but we will have to pay for repairs and wanted 379 dollars to fix the car.



Mark is a very dishonest person and acted very rude with me. He lied to me since the beginning because I when there to get my car to pass smog check and he said he could do it but he is not a test only smog check and that is what the dmw wanted and he knew that because I gave him the paper from the dmv.

This place is the most dishonest auto repair in the high dessert!! Where do i start? After leaving there i called several other auto shops only to find out that tokyo over charges by at least 40%! Not only that, they lie about when your car will be ready for pick up! Unfortunantly some other friends of mine also had the same experience (if not worse) Overall please do not recommend this shop to anyone!

P.S i heard from a trusted source that all the good reviews for this shop are actually written by the owner and employees!

I went to Tokyo auto and basically got spoiled , i just went in for a smog but since the prices were so reasonable and they were willing to do it right then I got a tune and a new windshield

I brought my civic here to find out why it was lagging so much they went to work on it immediately, it turned out my V tech solenoid was filled with gasket sealer they even showed me the part and explained everything had it driving like brand new that day

I must say I am a very happy customer. Tokyo Auto was really helpful in that they provided me with all the information and knowledge I needed to fix my vehicle. Being a young woman it can be very intimidating going into an auto shop for service. In some other places I've gone to I've felt taken advantage of because of my lack of knowledge for cars. I've called almost every auto place out here and every single place tried to up sell me things that I did not need. When I came into Tokyo Auto the staff was really friendly and I felt like I could talk to them. They were there to help me, not to try and sell me additional things. The man who helped me, Mark, was very kind, good looking, and professional. He knew exactly what I needed and he beat the price that I was quoted everywhere else. Even though the wait wasn't long I didn't mind waiting because they had movies I watched on a flat screen and all the coffee I could ask for. Thank you Tokyo Auto!!!

I took my 1994 Toyota Tercel to a Test Only Smog Check Station to get it smogged it ended up Gross Poluting. I then took it to a smog repair station in victorville they charged me $120.00 to diagnose why it failed. Just to tell me 15 minutes later i needed over $2000.00 in repairs because he said the engine was bad. The next day i took it to Tokyo Tire Auto Center they said they could fix it for $300.00 just by replacing the Catalytic converter and doing a tune up. They even took it to the Test Only for me and car passed with flying colors. I will always take my car to them for my smog checks and any future repairs it might need.

I have a 2000 toyota corolla. I usually take it to Tokyo Auto for services since their prices are more affordable than the Toyota dealers and they use toyota original parts. Mark (young guy), is the owner's son and knows what he's doing. Him and his staff are very helpful and very friendly. I was taken advantage of by a few auto shops in the past just because I am female and know very little about engines or mechanical problems. Even though I moved out of Victorville and now living in LA, I still drive out there to have them work on my car. A lot of my friends and family take their cars there as well.

I have been taking my 97 Camry in for oil changes, tune ups, tires and smog checks to the folks at Tokyo for almost 10 years now. I used to have a old beater civic with a lot of problems. The folks over at Tokyo recommended that get a new Camry instead of pouring more money into the beater. Instead of making money off of me and my old civic they gave me good advice instead. They have never let me down and the Camry has been one of the best investments I have ever made. I recommended my wife's good friend take her husband's F150 over to Tokyo after it failed smog down the hill. Fixed the ERG and the truck passed. The guys down the hill couldnt even find the problem. Now the truck runs better than it has in years. Sometimes I go down to see Wing just to talk about the good old days or about the new technology in todays cars. He's always friendly and knows his cars.
