General Info

Serco provides a range of services to federal defense and civilian agencies, state and local governments and commercial customers throughout North America. The company offers aviation and engineering services, homeland security, human strategies, information technology, revenue services, park management and supply chain management. Serco s origins trace back to RCA Government Services, which entered the defense services market in the 1960s. In 1986, General Electric bought RCA, and the management team at RCA Government Services in England initiated a buyout from GE. The buyout was completed in 1987, and the new company was named Serco. Serco entered the Canadian market in 1994 and the United States market in 1995. In 2005, Serco acquired Resource Consultants.
