This was my thirteenth week with my mentor and we covered time based signal processing, reverb, echo, and delay. We thoroughly talked about the three components of reverberation, as well as the effects reverb has on vocals vs. instruments. Next we discussed Delay and Echo, which pretty much serve as the same thing. We discussed putting just the right amount of delay to create a chorus effect, as well as also using delay so you hear an echo following a word or phrase in a song. All of this material I have worked on with my mentor has been building on top of one another and I am now really starting to understand more and more as I continue with the Recording Connection program. My mentor, and his studio, has been great so far, I look forward to every session I have with him. Everything is going great and I'm learning quite a bit about the mixing in Pro Tools. For example, my mentor is showing me some mixing techniques with different EQ's and Compressors. Because of this, I am now
