Ichiban

We came to this place based on the past review... That it was the cheapest sushi around. That is false. This is one of the most expensive places I've been. Even at a regular hibachi restaurant an eel and cucumber roll is around 5$ this place expects almost ten dollars for that. No way. Definitely sticking to Tokyo Joe From now on!!

I have been to a lot of places, but this one is the best I have ever had.

The sushi is the cheapiest in Richmond, but the quality is the best in Richmond and everywhere else I have ever been.

I have been in New York, California, Maine, DC, etc.

but Ichiban difinitely take the first place!

They have the BEST and freshest toro and uni in Richmond also goes with everything else on the menu!

The highest quality sushi I've ever had.



The price is cheaper than any other resturant and sushi bars, the best quality ever, everything was so fresh, tasty, and delicious!



They proportion is the best!

The proportion of the rice and the fish is also very important, a perfect proportion when eaten in 1 bite will combine the fish, rice, soy sauce, and wasabi together in your mouth in harmony.



The selection is awesome.

If you want to see it before you eat it, they have a photo book which they call it "Special Book" of what they make so you can drool before you order.

If you have 2-3 people, get the boat.

Their Tempura Bananas are a fantastic dessert and a great end to a fantastic meal.



The sushi chef can make any roll for you and they would make it into a special roll for everyone else!

It is like have your private sushi chef!



The service is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful, the staffs is super-friendly and very nice to all of their customers.

the place is clean and very organized. They have the best recorded with the restaurant inspections and when you eat raw fish, nothing is more important then checking out their inspection record.

THE BEST presentation of food.

Definitely worth the trip!

Will definately be going their again and would recommend this to everybody, even people who havent tried sushi before, they should try Ichiban first!
