General Info

I am a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese Medicine focused on providing the holistic care counterpart to your already existing healthcare plan. Â I believe that the future of medicine is integrated, and while Western medicine is the most technologically advanced medicine in the world, it has become obvious to both patients and MD's that there are many areas better treated with a more holistic approach. Â I have experience treating a diversity of health concerns ranging from arthritis and headaches to depression, insomnia, and the common cold. Â In addition to treating illnesses that are already present, I focus much of my practice on preventative medicine enabling patients to maintain their already healthy lives. I earned my Masters Degree in Science and Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, San Diego, after completing a four year graduate program which included over 3000 hours of academic study and clinical training. As a clinical intern at PCOM, I had the privilege of working alongside some of the most well-respected practitioners of Chinese Medicine in the world. Â I worked with MD's, RN's, and several different counselors at the most advanced hospice center in the country, the San Diego Hospice and Institute for Palliative Medicine, as well as doing a 4 month internship in conjunction with the University of California San Diego School of Medicine working with the underprivileged community. I am currently licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine as a practitioner of Oriental Medicine which includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, and dietary counseling. Â I am also certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
