Lake and River Inn

We have always stayed at this hotel in the past and really loved the cleanliness of it. But the people sold it and the new owners has issues. First off, they couldn't find my reservation online, but they put us in a room anyways. Then we get to the room open the door and I promise u you the smell of mold would knock you down. I looked in the bathroom and there was mold all in the tub, around the sinks and just about everywhere. Turned the lights on in the bedroom area and saw cobwebs everywhere. I always look under the bed covers and I am glad I did. I pulled the sheets back and there were YELLOW stains on the sheets. Trust me I almost threw up. We left and I called around and found another hotel. The place we stayed at told us that there were several people that has already came from there to stay here. She told me that one person found BED BUGS in the bed. I wouldn't recommend Lake And River Inn to anybody.

First off, I'd like to say that I always stay at this venue because they have a full kitchen in a room with 2 beds. Its really close to the water, they have a pool. Its just great. They apparently sold to new owners. I loved the other family who used to run it. The new owners are hard to understand on the phone and the woman was very rude. They seem to have "misplaced" my online reservation. She said, "I can't help you, we have no record." Okay, but I have an email confirmation and I'm supposed to check-in tonight... does your website not work? "Yes, the website works fine but I'm sorry, we can't help you." She offered me a single bed with no kitchen. No thank you. Turns out there is a very large family reunion that has booked every hotel in town. They accidentally gave my room to a member of that party. Now what am I supposed to do? Well, I booked at a hotel down the road who doesn't allow pets. Great. Now I have to find accommodations for my dog and we still don't have a kitchen.
