Oral health in pets tends to reflect overall well being, so it’s critical that pets’ teeth are examined and cleaned on a regular basis. We believe strongly in good dental hygiene for your animal family members and offer a suite of dental services including oral health exams, teeth cleaning, and dental disease treatments.
Vaccination
Pets need vaccines to help protect them from the many diseases they are going to encounter in their lives. Even indoor pets need to keep up-to-date with their vaccine schedule, although the number and type of vaccines they receive will be different compared to outdoor pets. We’re happy to make a vaccine schedule tailored to your pets lifestyle, and will happily remind you when vaccines are due.
Nutritional Counseling
Everyone needs to go to the doctor sometimes, even our furry (and not so furry) little friends! If your pet is experiencing any visible discomfort, has issues with vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, weight loss, low energy, or other issues you think might be making them uncomfortable, please call or make an appointment.

If your dog has Heartworm Disease, they are a host to a live worm that embeds itself in the pulmonary artery, near the heart. These worms can grow up to 4 feet in length, take up to 6 months to fully grow, and can remain inside your dog for 5-7 years if not treated. Their presence damages the heart, lungs, and arteries and will result in death if left untreated. While dogs are the natural host for Heartworms, cats can also get the disease.

Dr Jorgenson is our resident acupuncturist! For ailments and patients that don’t respond well to traditional medicine, acupuncture can be an effective way to support pain relief and symptom reduction. Dr Jorgenson has 3 years of experience using acupuncture as a complement to traditional approaches.

Laboratory Services
The early stages of the disease can show little or no symptoms and many animals don’t show any symptoms until the disease is in its advanced stages. Signs of Heartworm Disease may include a mild persistent cough, reluctance to exercise, fatigue after moderate activity, decreased appetite, and weight loss.
