General Info: Burbank Elementary School, located in Hayward, Calif., is one of the elementary schools operated by the Hayward Unified School District. It offers various educational programs and extracurricular activities for grades kindergarten through sixth. The school s curriculum includes accelerated reading program, English, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, and performing and visual arts. The school also provides various sport activities, field trips, choir programs and group activities. The district operates a special child care program for children in the elementary school, and a Kid Connect program that is a joint effort of state and local mental health agencies, and local school districts. Hayward Unified School District works cooperatively with Eden Children's Services that is a nonprofit counseling agency delivering services through the primary intervention program.
