North Wilkes High School provides academic education to students in grades nine through 12. The school, located in Hays, N.C., enrolls more than 700 students. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign languages, and family and consumer science. It also offers courses in agriscience, business, art, instructional technology, and vocational courses. Additionally, the school offers the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program and physical education. The school has a library and media center that provides online reference sources and access to the Internet. The school also offers various extracurricular activities, such as dance, chorus, band and student organizations. North Wilkes High School also offers counseling services and various sports activities, including basketball, tennis, volleyball, soccer, cross country and wrestling. North Wilkes High School is a part of Wilkes County Schools.
