Root Canal Treatment
Advances in technology have made this notoriously painful procedure significantly faster and less stressful. In the past, if you had a tooth with a diseased nerve, you'd probably lose that tooth. Our experience with root canal treatment may allow you to save that tooth and avoid the extraction.

Deep Cleaning
Deep cleanings may be recommended to some patients. If plaque and tartar are left on teeth, they provide the right conditions for bacteria to thrive. These bacteria irritate the gums, which then bleed more easily. You may notice this if you are brushing your teeth or eating, and sometimes your gums may bleed. Also, you may observe bad breath, swollen or receding gums. These are signs of gum diseases called Gingivitis and Periodontitis. To stop gum disease from progressing, we advise periodontal therapy or deep cleaning. This gets rid of the bacteria in the gums and provides the necessary conditions for healing to occur.

Dentures
When many or all teeth are missing in a person's mouth, full or partial dentures may be the solution. Dentures provide excellent appearance and are a very economical solution in replacing multiple teeth.

Dr. Jonathan R. Shadi was raised in the Los Angeles Area where he received his B.S. degree in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles with College Honors. He attained his DDS from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry where he accomplished being on the Deans’ List multiple times, in addition received the John Ingle Research award in 2009. After his dental training, he completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at the Veterans’ Affairs Hospital in Long Beach, California in 2010. Dr. Shadi completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of California San Francisco-Fresno in 2014 and has been working in a private practice setting in the Greater Los Angeles area since completing his residency program. He maintains hospital privileges at UCLA Hospital - Santa Monica. Dr Shadi is well versed in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery while taking a particular interest in wisdom teeth extractions, IV general anesthesia, single or multiple/complex dental implant surgery, and bone grafting.
Tooth Extractions
Early removal is recommended to avoid such future problems and to decrease the surgical risk involved with the procedure. Wisdom teeth extractions could be performed with the comfort of Sedation (Sleep) Dentistry. Our staff surgeons undergo years of training not only in surgical care and dentistry, but also in general medicine.

Dr. Michelle Mian is an east coast native that has happily joined the sunny Southern California community. She is a graduate of Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she completed her Doctorate of Dental Medicine, Masters in Medical Science, and Orthodontic Certificate. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and the American Dental Association. Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and eating lots of ice cream!
