Anderson Gift Baptist Church

The Anderson Gift Baptist Church has a vision for seeking to produce in people through the ministries of this church, Disciples of Christ. In obedient to the Great Commission of Christ, we the Pastor, Officers and members of this congregation do solemnly enter into agreement to “A Vision of Discipleship through Preaching the Gospel; Instructing all with the (Bible) Word of God; and Reaching throughout the Hawkinsville Community, the Nation and the World, with the Proclamation of Christ as King of Kings. Our biblical mandate is made disciples of men, for Christ. Three questions will be address: What does it mean to be a disciple? How can a person become a disciple? How should our life of discipleship, reflect that of Christ? As disciples, we are always to be growing. We will not be complete until the Lord Jesus returns, but how are we to be growing? Are there certain characteristics to which we should pay attention? I think that the Bible does provide us some categories to intentionally develop. Each of these characteristics are to be increasing. So, for each characteristic, it is necessary to use the “growing” in the description. A disciple of Jesus is one who will be:
