Founded in 1965, the Sprain Ridge Park provides picnicking and swimming activities. The park features facilities for people with physical disabilities. It is owned and operated by the Westchester County Parks Department, which maintains an area of over 18,000 acres. The Westchester County Parks Department offers a variety of educational, recreational, entertainment and sports events for individuals. The department is accredited by the National Recreation and Parks Association.
