The Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism-Tourism Division offers a range of tourism development programs, including marketing, advertising, public relations, research, hospitality services, direct sales and business marketing assistance. It works in full partnership with the business community to facilitate retention and expansion of tourism products, as well as encourages strategic investment. The division supports the Special Initiative Grants program, which encourages unique and creative projects and partnerships. The Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism-Tourism Division also administers the Challenge Grant Program that assists nonprofit culture and tourism entities to promote attractions and events. It gathers funds through arts, history, films, heritage and tourism entities. The division is comprised of more than 15 staff members and is located in Hartford, Conn.
