General Info: Located in Hartford, Conn., M. L. King School is a part of Hartford Public Schools. The school serves more than 650 students in prekindergarten through grade six. It offers the English as a Second Language program. It conducts classes in various subjects that include language arts, math, science and social studies. M. L. King School provides special education classes to gifted and talented students. The school also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as art, music, drama, and technical and physical education. It features a choir and quilting club. In addition, it organizes field trips to several educational and cultural destinations. The school s staff includes a counselor, psychologist and social worker. M. L. King School also operates a parent-teacher organization that conducts fundraising activities and special programs.
